The Ashtalakshmi Temple in Chennai is a stunning Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Lakshmi and her eight primary forms, known as the Ashtalakshmi, which represent the eight forms of wealth. Located in Besant Nagar, near Elliot's Beach, this temple offers breathtaking views of the Bay of Bengal. Temple foundation was laid on January 25th in 1974 by Kanchi Mutt. The trust was founded by Sri Chandrashekarendra Saraswati swamigal, a devout follower of Goddess Lakshmi. Temple consecration (Kumbhabhishekam) was performed on April 5th 1976. Golden Kalasam was (tower finial) installed in 2012.
