Elliot's Beach Chennai
- The beach at Besant Nagar in the south-east of Chennai is called Elliots Beach.
- The Velankanni Arokiya Madha Temple is the largest and most famous temple in Elliots Beach.
- Most famous place to visit here is the Ashtalakshmi Temple. Ashtalakshmi is on display with eight different faces. Another specialty of this temple is that it is very clean and beautiful.
- Another important place found here is Kaj Schmidt Memorial, an architectural landmark built in remembrance of a European sailor, who drowned in the sea trying to save a girl in the year 1930.
