Marina Beach Chennai
- Spread over golden sands, the 13 km long marina is the second longest beach in the world.
- The tombs of Arignar Anna and Makkal Thilagam M.G.R and statues of many Tamil scholars, Robert Caldwell, Kambar, Ilango Adigal, Tirumph of Labour Statue, Bharathiyar, Kannagi, Subhas Chandra Bose, Thiruvalluvar, G.U. Pope, Annie Besant, Bharathidasan, Swami Vivekananda, Avvaiyar, Veerama Munivar, Kamaraj, Gandhi and Actor Shivaji are located in the marina beach.
- On the west side of the picturesque Marina Beach Road are various high government offices including the All India Radio Station, University of Chennai, Rani Mary College and on the south side is the lighthouse Vivekananda House.
- Best place for morning walk, exercise and yoga. Also, there are two swimming pools nearby marina beach under the maintenance of Tamilnadu government.

Vivekananda House Chennai
- The Ice House on the south side of Marina Beach was once the place where the ice cubes from abroad were stored, hence the name of the building that became the house of Vivekananda.
- Vivekananda came to India from the United States in 1897 and stayed at the Chennai Ice House for about 10 days before leaving for Kolkata.
- The Tamil Nadu government took over the building, renovated it, installed a statue of Vivekananda and turned it into a memorial house.
- There is an entrance fee to go inside this building.
- Visiting Time: Morning 10 A.M to Evening 7 P.M (afternoon 1 pm to 3pm closed)
